Robert Kelly, M.D.

Robert Kelly, M.D. is a Cataract Surgeon and Retina Specialist certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. As a medical retina specialist, he performs advanced retinal imaging studies, including fluorescein angiography and ocular coherence tomography (OCT); as well as Intraocular injections for the management of macular degeneration and geographic atrophy; and Laser Surgery for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and retina vascular disease. Dr. Kelly performs cataract surgery using modern techniques with state-of-the-art lens implants, including presbyopia correcting lenses and laser-assisted surgery that can minimize the need for glasses after surgery. 

Dr. Kelly earned his Medical Degree at NYU School of Medicine and then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology followed by a Fellowship in Medical Retina at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Kelly is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he is a member of the New England Ophthalmologic Society, the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Rhode Island Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Kelly enjoys sailing with friends and family and is an annual participant in the Scudder Cup Sailing event. He also enjoys running and hiking, and has completed two Marathons. Dr Kelly and his family reside in Barrington, RI.
